Job Description

Q-Sourcing Servtec Group is a global management consulting firm that helps people make significant improvements to their business performance and realize their most important career goals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To provide regional technical expertise:  customs compliance, last mile logistics and special requirements (packaging, medical device directives, etc.)
  • To define logistics to support new country launches.
  • To support the Equipment Procurement Team from sourcing to delivery, and with regional maintenance of equipment (including displays and accessories)
  • To manage and report on key logistics metrics and measurements, including delivery times, transport costs and efficiencies.
  • To drive third party vendor logistics performance for all shipments routed directly from vendor to lab/vision centers.
  • To develop budgets and manage within approved budgets.
  • To liaise with warehouse partners on destinations and delivery times.
  • To identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions and ensure product supply continuity.
  • To work with the supply chain team to implement and monitor inventory management systems to ensure product is in stock on a timely basis.
  • Analyze logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements while maintaining service levels.
  • To develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs, timing and preserve quality.
  • To execute other special projects as requested by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor degree
  •  5+ years’ leadership experience in the related fields:  transportation / distribution and customs compliance.
  • Knowledge and experience in the global logistics industry including carrier networks and compliance.
  • Project management skills, including planning, reporting, setting & meeting budgets.
  • Exposure to global duty and tariffs.
  • Relationship building with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Optical equipment knowledge:  technical and sourcing
  • Prepared to travel both domestic and overseas for approximately 20% of the time
