Job Summary:

We seek a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our growing team. The individual in this role would directly sell our company’s animal feed products to farmers. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of animal nutrition, excellent communication skills, and a customer-oriented approach. Also, they will be expected to use their knowledge of company products or services to connect with consumers and generate sales for their employer.

Responsibilities:

  • Present, promote, and sell animal feed products using solid arguments and demonstrations
  • Generate leads and prospects for potential customers in the assigned territory
  • Analyses the territory/market’s potential, and track sales and status reports.
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule
  • Provide guidance and support to customers on proper feeding practices, nutritional standards, and product performance
  • Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • Take care of customer complaints quickly and efficiently.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports and feedback to management.

Requirements

  • Professional qualification in a relevant field; A Diploma is an added advantage
  • Proven work experience as a sales representative
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory
  • Valid driving and motorcycle license

Experience :

  • At least 1 year of proven work experience as a sales Rep within a similar environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of customer service, office management and basic bookkeeping procedures.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Kiswahili(conversant with local dialect within central Region)
