Job objective

AAA Roses is the flower division within AAA Growers. At AAA Roses, we produce high quality rose stems for export. We supply a wide assortment of Roses all over the world everyday fresh. Quality is our key deliverable. A happy customer is our main goal at AAA Roses.

As a Technical Lead for flowers, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to our farm teams in crop protection, irrigation and composting to ensure optimal crop health and yield. Greatness, Responsibility, Openness and Warmth are the values you live and work by.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  •  Advise and assist the farm team in identifying and managing pests to maintain them below threshold levels.
  •  Develop weekly spray plans and a year-round spray strategy in collaboration with the farm team.
  •  Implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to minimize pest impact on crops
  •  Advise and assist the farm team on irrigation recipes and schedules to ensure optimal crop growth
  •  Coordinate trials of new Chemicals, Fertilizers, Spray and irrigation techniques
  •  Advise and assist the farm teams in producing and applying high-quality compost to the fields.
  •  Collaborate with the farm team to develop and implement composting schedules and protocols to enhance soil fertility and structure.
  •  Monitor and analyze compost production and soil health, recommending improvements as needed
  •  Ensure all processes related to crop protection, irrigation, and composting are captured in SOPs and procedures, documenting and adjusting as necessary
  •  Provide ongoing training and support to farm staff on best practices in pest management, irrigation, and composting.
  •  Work closely with the farm manager and the farm teams to ensure team cohesiveness and effective farm operations.

Your profile

  •  Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field.
  •  4-5 years’ experience in a farm of the same capacity
  •  Proven experience in crop protection, irrigation management, and composting.
  •  Strong knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM) strategies.
  •  Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership and management skills.
  •  Effective communication and training abilities.
  •  Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  •  Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  •  Proficient Computer skills in MS Office applications, particularly with Excel
